.UPDATE...
Issued at 804 AM EDT Sun Oct 6 2024
A few adjustments have been made to the POPs and winds this morning
to account for current trends, but that is the only real adjustment.
All eyes continue to be on Tropical Storm Milton, located in the SW
Gulf.
Key Points:
* Milton is expected to quickly intensify while it moves E to NE
across the Gulf and will be at or near major hurricane strength as
it reaches the west of Coast of Florida beginning late Tuesday or
Wednesday.
* There is an increasing risk for life-threatening storm surge and
wind impacts beginning late Tuesday into Wednesday
* Areas of heavy rainfall will impact the area today through mid-
week&&

The next few days are messy. Showers will be possible at anytime,
with the most likely window for thunderstorms during the afternoon
hours. With so much moisture in the atmosphere, CIGs are expected to
decrease down to MVFR and may even become IFR, especially overnight.
Weather conditions will not improve before Milton moves through
Tuesday into Wednesday.
